Nice. I like the symbolism with the character not being able to get "grounded" in the real world. I like that the dialogue is akward. I like that you explain only what you need to and show rather than tell in most situations. This is well done and tastful. And frankly, when something gives of a complete thought without being all boobs, swears and blood on Newgrounds, I have to endorse it.

Be proud of yourself.

Strong contender!

Your animation style isvery smooth, and I like the "Tom Fulp saves the day" scene. Not too sure if I like the "T" stiched sneakers though (jk).

But like others have already said, the action could have been sped up a bit. While I see that you needed the time to get all your animations in, the pace could've been picked up just a bit to increase the intensity of the fight and up the emotional factor a notch for the viewer.

Other than that it's hard to kock this any.

I didin't know this was here

To think if I didin't tune into the webcam at Pico Day 2010 on a whim, i wouldn't have known this flash exsisted.

While a lot on this site is voilent, video game, teen fantasy or obnoxiously funny stuff, which is all great, every once in a while you get to see stuff like this that stands out. While the madness genre is all shoot-em-up, bloody violence, look what it's spawned.

Think you can call this a rushed flash? Unclean, with unfinished animation? Copycat idea on an over-tributed genre? Just another madness flash? Hell no, this is a piece of art.

This is why I log into this site on a daily basis. Sure, I'm waaaay behind everyone else on this flash (lol) but I'm glad I saw it, and will give kudos all the same.

PS: Ya I know, just another wannabe commenting on a great flash

Well done

While your intentions may not have been to impose any deeper meaning, your presentation involves several forms of social suffering and power struggles that's it's hard NOT to believe there's a bigger message here.

The pigs could very well be us, with our addiction to money, which you present more like a drug. It's given by men of power, who take the essense of ourselves in the process. In turn, his stomach is overflowing due to the "addiction" he supplies, and leads a priveledged life, literally living off our flesh.

It's hard not to say that this does strike a comparison to life in numerous circumstances. Even if you didn't mean it to, this peice will say something about our lives.

Most good peices of art do.

It's a constipated story...

It's definatly a boondocks slant on a magic vs religion underground showdown. While I like this flash I feel it's nothing more than a teaser. This could be so fleshed out. It's a great starting idea but it'd be a waste of time if it isn't continued.
In my mind, I see this flash erupting into a flashback-laden tale, and as the main characters clash, more is revealed about the past storylines of all the characters invovled. Fact is, we know very little about the characters invovled, and while we can peice together their involvement from this short flash, there is WAY more of this story that needs to be told. Elixir and Romeo's past, as two young kids running a corpration is pretty rare, the church bishop must have some other motivation against Evolve Corp than simple politics, and there must've been some major event to start all the conflict...
It's a great idea. A good brainstorm. I only hope you start tying up the story with many interesting and colourful knots.

K enough already

Yeah the parody is pretty obvious but it got old kinda fast. Making fun of old anime shows that their lack of cohesive plot, aburpt screams and interuptions and random other things inserted in a story for no reason ect... has also been done a number of times. It's a good effort dude but I can't say I'm really looking forward to the next one.

oh dear god

There's "So bad it's awesome" and "VERY VERY BAD" and this clip crossed the line about a minute in. Grats. The satire you present is very clear, but it's just unwatchable, unbearable and "Oh my god I can't believe they tried this hard to make something this impossibly hard to watch. "
Once again, grats.

So you're Catoblepas...

This flash made me look up your other works to see exactly what you're all about. At first I didn't like this flash either, but once I saw the rest of what you do I'm starting to understand your style and how you deleiver your message. I do understand it and I do think they'res a need for your kind of animation in the greater scheme of art but...
I wonder if you've ever asked yourself if the multitude of offensive images in your works turn away too many people to your greater message in the work itself? It's obvious that this animation alone, which is quite toned down compared to your others, is still offending a huge group of people that simply don't have the resilence too look past the images beyond what they are to interperet the greater message those offensive images are trying to send. Because of this, you must know that a good portion of viewers will simply misunderstand the animation once you post it.
I guess my question concerns your audience. Is this for everyone? I would think not, knowing as you must that most get too offended to even watch the whole thing. So who?
My point is that I think your message is an important one, and that everyone should understand what this is trying to say, but I already know most won't. I can already guess that you wouldn't change your artistic style, which I would readily applaud you for, but I have a feeling this may have been an attempt to reach a greater audience.
So I guess I'm curious to what is more important to you? The style of animation or the message?

You have created something beautiful

(Continuous applause)

Just another reason why I like this site so much..

My mind reels with the back stories of the other two characters in this story... Probably because the theme reminds me so much of Tarantino-esque movies. While not totally nessessary in this case, it makes me wonder who the fat dude was in the santa suit and how he kiddnapped the girl...

The style is great though and the story can stand alone. I'm just really interested who the thief character was and how he got so badass...

Prolific reviewer, but doesn't know a thing about flash. I hope I bring some smart reviews about games and movies on their content and hope my words get respected... at some point lol.
